Sherwood Humane Animal Services
The Sherwood Humane Animal Services Department boasts of having one of the Nation's most successful adoption programs and one of the lowest rates for animal euthanasia in the country. However, pet overpopulation is on the rise across Arkansas and there just aren’t enough loving homes available for them all.
Euthanasia is not the solution to this tragedy, but a symptom caused by uncontrolled breeding of companion animals.
Please prevent the unplanned birth of litters of puppies and kittens by spaying or neutering your pet.
Adopt your next companion animal from a Shelter. Sherwood always has a verity of pets to choose from.
Talk to everyone you know about the tragedy of pet overpopulation and the need to spay or neuter companion animals.
Together we can reduce or eliminate the tragic consequences of this problem.
The Shelter has an in-house spay/neuter clinic where adoptable animals are sterilized during our spay/neuter clinic held once a week and allows the Department to provide a low cost Spay/Neuter Voucher Program to help low income families better care for their pets.
A NO Cost Adoption Program helps Senior Citizens who are 65 or older and the Disabled enjoy the proven health benefits and companionship that comes from the unconditional love of a pet.
Adopted animals are spayed or neutered, receive one set of annual vaccinations, and a rabies vaccination if the pet is over four months of age. Adoption fee is just $45.00.
